Another rant

I keep seeing certain nagging patterns in contemporary fiction written by women. So many of them have the same irritating undercurrents; the same warped way of looking at women and their situations in the world.

It makes me wonder whether modern feminism is ruining literature.

By no means am I against all of feminism. I am 100% for equal rights for women; I’m glad women can vote and own property, etc.

But today’s feminism is different. It seems to think that women should be like men.

This has been bad for women, and it’s been quietly corrosive for literature.
